Christmas,
Hubby,
Shopping
Since I know that my hubby stops by here once in a while, I figured this would be a good place to put my Christmas wish list. That way he can’t say he misplaced it, if you know what I mean…LOL! So honey, here you go, and it’s quite easy to copy and paste it into a word document so that you can take it shopping with you
- A new mixer since mine is about on it’s last legs, preferably a stand mixer!
- New black leather heels to replace the ones that Willow chewed up, size 9 medium.
- A nice pair of diamond earrings. As much as I like the fake ones mom got me last year, they’re simply too large for every day wear!
- A new book (or two), since I’ve read every book I have on the bookshelf.
- Since you’re so good at picking just the right thing, some fine lingerie would be nice!
- And finally, a sitter for a weekend so that the two of us can go away somewhere quiet!
See, it wasn’t that bad, was it? I’ll bet you were expecting worse, weren’t you? But you, of all people, should know better! Love you!!

Great Products,
Hubby
OK, I admit it, no one in this house is great when it comes to taking care of their teeth. We make our regular check ups and cleanings, and of course we go back for the fillings and things that are necessary. But we’re slackers and don’t brush and floss the way we really need to!
My husband and I underwent major dental repairs a couple of years ago which really helped, but since then he has had extremely sensitive teeth. He’s tried several different types of toothpaste that are specifically for sensitive teeth, but either disliked the taste of them or just felt that they didn’t help any. I recently received a sample tube of sensitive toothpaste and told him to take it with him last week when he was working out of town. I asked him a couple of times during the week if it was helping any and how he liked it, and all he kept saying was “Wait until I come home”.
When he was unpacking his bags Friday night, he walked up to me and handed me the empty tube of Biotene and told me that for the first time in a long time his teeth aren’t sensitive any more! I’m not sure if you can tell or not, but this is the empty tube.

He said it doesn’t hurt when he drinks a cup of coffee or even when he eats ice cream! This is so huge for him because I’ve watched him grimace in pain for so long now from eating or drinking things that we all eat and drink on a daily basis. Heck, we don’t even put our bottled water in the refrigerator any longer because of how badly it would hurt for him to take a drink of cold water! He was so happy with the results he received from Biotene sensitive toothpaste that while he was at the store Saturday morning he made sure he picked up a full sized tube so he could continue to use it! SEE!!

The problem that he has ran into in the past with other sensitive toothpastes is that it just seems like they mask the problem rather than actually resolving it, but Biotene seems to have found a way to actually solve the problem of sensitive teeth. And unlike the other sensitive toothpastes that he’s tried in the past, Biotene also takes care of his bad breath problems! So THANK YOU Biotene, you’ve got a lifelong customer in my husband!!

Gift Giving,
Holidays,
Hubby
Out of all of the people I buy Christmas gifts for, my husband, without a doubt, is the most difficult one to buy for. When I ask him for suggestions as to what he might like for a gift, I get the standard “Surprise me” answer. Now, if there is a type of answer to any question that I totally despise, it is an answer like that! I get an answer like that a lot from my son, no matter what question I ask him. But, back to my husband and shopping for his Christmas gift. I know of the many things that he likes, but he is not as specific about his dislikes.
For instance, I know for a fact that he loves all of the Detroit sports teams. As a child, his father would take him to as many baseball, football and hockey games as possible. And even though the Detroit baseball and football teams haven’t had many successful seasons, he’s still supported them as a fan. I also know of a few different movie stars and movies that he is a big fan of. For instance, one of his all time favorite movies is Easy Rider with Peter Fonda and Jack Nicholson. And one of his all time favorite actors is none other than Jack Nicholson. I also know that he enjoys watching The Three Stooges because we have several of their movies on DVD.
Knowing what I know about his likes, I’m leaning towards getting him a gift of some type of sports or movie memorabilia. I personally like this signed Easy Rider poster!

My husband isn’t working out of town this week. As a matter of fact, he’s only worked one day this week which means he’s been here at home, driving me CRAZY! I’ve discovered that I’m so used to him being gone during the day and when he’s home he interferes with my TV “routine”. I like watching shows that are totally different from what he likes. For instance, right now I’m on a kick where I enjoy watching shows that showcase luxury homes, more specifically the type of luxury homes that will always be WAAAAAAAAY out of my price range. Hey, a girl can dream, right?

As much as I miss my husband when he’s out of town working, I don’t worry about him getting hurt on the job. The factory that his company is working in right now is fairly new and has taken many precautions to protect the people that work there. I do, however, worry about him while he’s making the long drive down there on Monday mornings and the long drive home on Friday nights. He told me about a very bad semi truck accident that he seen on his way home Friday, and although I know that he is a good driver, it’s all of the other drivers out there that worry me!
