Well that stinks!

I have a membership at NetFlix.com, it’s just a basic membership, I get 2 movies a month for under $5. It is the perfect membership for us because we don’t always have time to watch a movie. The past few weeks/weekends have been busy ones for us and I’ve had a Harry Potter movie for over 3 weeks now that we’ve been wanting to watch, but just haven’t had the time. My husband and kids had actually seen it at the drive in last summer, but I was unable to go with them because I was extremely sick with the flu!
I hadn’t opened it, nor had my husband, and today when we finally got the time where we could watch it, my husband was none to happy with me when he seen what I had done. I meant to order Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix, but I actually ordered Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire. Sometimes I swear my memory is getting worse with each passing day! I was certain that I had put the latest movie in my queue. Oh well, at least it’s a movie that we all like!

We have a netflix account as well…problem is..I signed up in the early days…I pay $8.99/mo for 1 movie at a time (I’ve found I can get 4 in a month in a good month) prior to them offering all these great discounts and offers to get more people. According to the terms of the contract, I cannot cancel my membership and then try to sign up again at the lower rate..sux doesn’t it? I’m thinking about just calling them and telling them I’m cancelling the service (an obvious bluff) unless they lower it to everyone else’s rate..we’ll see what happens. In the meantime..I’ve been there…we’ve had times when we got so busy we’ve actually had the same movie sitting on the counter for a month..and then finally just deciding to send it back since we didn’t have time to watch at all..then just put it in the queue. Can’t say that I’ve ordered one movie thinking I was ordering another though! LOL
