As much as I’m hoping for warmer weather…

I also dread the thought of it! Yes, I’ll honestly be glad when we don’t have to haul in wood for the wood burner or make sure we have slippers on in the morning because the floors are so cold! But warmer weather means it’s going to be that much more difficult for me to hide the pounds that I put on over the winter. With jeans and sweatshirts it’s so much easier to make yourself look smaller than you are. And since the majority of my weight gain has been caused from medications and because of the medicatons I’m currently taking, diet pills aren’t an option for me.
So I’ll just have ot be more creative taking off the weight this year! I’ve noticed an older gentleman from my neighborhood walking in the mornings after I take my daughter to the bus and I’m thinking about stopping him the next time I see him and asking him if he’d like some company, if I can work up the courage that is…LOL! In the mean time I’ll just keep eating healthy and doing what I can do. I knew that weight gain was one of the biggest side effects when I started this medication, but I also know that I like who I am better on this medicaiton compared to the person I am when I’m not on it!

Someone on truemomconfessions.com posted to say that they’re having a dilemma: looking good without the meds, or being anxiety-free and chubby on the meds. :/
But I hear you on dreading the warmer weather! I had a baby in 2004, and then got pregnant with my second baby in 2005 and had him in 2006… having only a year break between pregnancies and then having my second baby via c-section has NOT done anything good for my stomach. I’m a big girl already, but the pregnancies and c-section have wrecked my stomach - roll from my daughter and a pouch from my son. It’s easy to hide a lot of it in the cooler weather with sweaters and hoodies. But in the summer? I’m screwed.

It is a difficult decision. I spent years off the meds because of the weight gain, like you, I’m a big girl too. But OMG, I just got totally psycho and no one could live with me, myself included! So as much as I don’t want to be this size, I more so don’t want to be THAT person anymore! Weight gain is definitely the lesser of the two evils!
Why not ask the guy if he’d mind a walking partner?
The worst he could say is no right?
All the months I went out walking every morning at the same time, I would have liked it if someone had asked if they could join me.
It was lonely and boring, and I only had myself to motivate me.
I only know a small bit about what meds you take, but pain meds?
They don’t exactly help with weight loss either….LOL
I lost weight because of 18 days in the hospital for my surgery, and not being able to eat because I felt like crap, but since then, I’ve packed it on.
I’ve since lost some, but not all.
I just keep trying, and do my best to workout every day, or at least every other day.
