Just Simply Holly

OK, so it’s not the cutest or wittiest of titles, but I got tired of looking through the dictionary…LOL! It was one heck of a week, and definitely didn’t go how I thought it would. That doesn’t mean it went badly, just differently than I originally intended.

It was the first week that both kids were back to school after winter break. I was looking forward to a little bit of peace and quiet after a few weeks of having both of them home. I also had plans for some things that I wanted to get done without having the kids underfoot and/or having to stop their arguments. The biggest thing I wanted to get done was some MAJOR organization in my room. I needed to take advantage of the shelving and racks and get some of the more commonly worn clothes hung up! I also needed to take care of the HUGE pile of paper clips that had been swept under one of the dressers for a “quick fix” to keep the dogs from trying to eat them….LOL!

I also needed to do some MAJOR cleaning in my daughters room. She is, without a doubt, a typical teen girl. Clothes are scattered EVERYWHERE in her room, mixed in with homework papers and dirty dishes…..YUCK!

But, when I realized that I only had one day to register for school before classes started, EVERYTHING got put on hold. I have no clue as to why it didn’t hit me that the Spring semester would be starting! If it weren’t for the fact that I was reading our local newspaper online and they had a HUGE banner ad from my school that said “Classes start January 10th”, I’d have been in DEEEEEEEEEEEEEP trouble!

I need to wrap this up, we have a dog that is VERY VERY sick!
