Will it be scarier?

In my personal opinion, the answer is a resounding YES! I’m talking about Rob Zombie’s Halloween the movie. After watching the trailer for the movie and listening to my 14 year old tell me how much he wants to see it on a daily basis, I must admit that we will definitely be going to see it when it hits the theaters later this month. Rob Zombie brings a whole new type of fear for fans of the Halloween movies, and brings to light a whole new chapter of the Michael Myers story. The synopsis of the movie states that
Audiences should brace themselves for unprecedented fear as Zombie turns back time to uncover the making of a pathologically disturbed, even cursed child named Michael Myers
Although I haven’t seen very many scary movies, my favorite scary movie series has always been the Nightmare on Elm Street movies. The fear of the unknown and knowing that something was going to happen always kept me on the edge of my seat. Waiting in suspense for Freddy Krueger to show up in the victims dreams and unleash the damage with his knife like fingers always kept me coming back each time a new movie came out.
But I have a feeling my scary movie preferences may change once I see Halloween. Watch the trailer yourself and tell me you weren’t so scared that you want to go to the theater and see the entire movie! Just those couple of minutes keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting to see more, wanting to know more and wanting the theaters to hurry up and start showing the movie. Fortunately our wait to see the movie isn’t too long of a wait, it will be in theaters on August 21. So watch the trailer for yourself then get your calendar out and start counting down the days!
