Happy Summer

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy first day of Summer! Although if you go by the heat, it’s been summer here in NW Ohio for a while!
Things with me are going pretty good. I finished this semester of school yesterday. Although I haven’t gotten my “official” grades yet, I know that my lowest final grade is a B+. Not too bad for an old bat that’s been out of school for 24 years, huh? I’m glad it’s over, not that it was a bad experience, just that I’m glad to get the first semester out of the way! Since I’m transferring to a different school, I’m off school for the next 2 months. I’m kind of looking forward to having the summer off.
It’s been a weird week though. Tuesday morning, when I went to leave for work, I found out that my car was dead. Hubby checked it out when he got home from work and discovered that the starter had died. He ran and get a new one, and it did the trick, Rhonda the Honda was up and running again. But Wednesday I lost my passenger side turn signals. It took hubby until tonight to find the problem with it, which ended up being a loose wire. But before he looked at it he ran to the store to get milk and bread, and on his way home a deer ran out in front of him and he hit and killed it. He was pretty shook up, but he had our daughter with him, who was even more shook up than he was. It didn’t do much damage to his truck, just busted out the grill. Ironically, in the 30 years he has been driving, this is the first deer he has ever hit. I’m just thankful that neither he or our daughter was hurt, the truck is replaceable, they aren’t!
