I got a phone call from my sister today. I wish I could say it was a surprising call, but it wasn’t. Not that it was a bad phone call though, you just have to know my sister to know why I said it wasn’t a surprising call. It appears that she and her husband are looking into buying a new home. I’m happy for them, I’d really like to see them get out of the neighborhood their current home is in. It’s not that it’s a bad one, it’s just that it’s really not one to raise small children in. My hope is that she takes the time to shop around for mortgages and doesn’t just grab the first one she looks into. There are many places online where she can use a mortgage calculator and see what her payments would be and she might even want to check into secured loans. No matter what she does I hope that she makes sure that she’s getting the best deal possible!
