More thoughts on insurance

After recently looking into insurance for my “new to me” truck, I realized that insuring it wasn’t the only thing I needed to consider. Insurance types and options have changed drastically over the years and your options are almost limitless. Sure, you still have your basic car insurance and home insurance, but there are also many other types of insurance to consider.
For instance, have you ever considered travel insurance? I got to thinking about what if I were able to go on my dream vacation to the Tuscany area and something happened to my luggage or my purse? How would I be able to replace what was lost in a hurry? Travel insurance can cover those such losses as well as covering things like emergency medical treatments, accidents and even forced trip cancellations. It really might be something to look into the next time you’re taking a trip.
Pet insurance is another type of insurance I really hadn’t thought about, and considering that we have 3 dogs now, I’m actually quite embarrassed that I haven’t. Pet insurance can help cover many different things that you may go through with your pet, such as Emergency Hospitalizations, theft or loss of your pet, accidental death of your pet and it can even offer coverage in the unforeseen chance that your pet attacks someone or causes damage to their property. Many of these things are also things that I had never thought of or considered how I would handle them in the case that something like this happened with one of my pets.
My eyes are definitely more open when it comes to type of insurances, and I hope I’ve opened yours a little more as well! I guess it’s true that when you get older you start looking at things a little differently, and I’m sure insurance is one of the things I’m going to look at much differently!
